St Mary's Catholic School, Papakura enjoys a proud history and heritage where multiple generations have thrived and succeeded in our Catholic setting. Together with a stable and experienced staff who provide up to date professional knowledge and care for each child, an engaged and active parent community and a supportive Board of Trustees, our students excel across all curriculum areas.
Our Bethlehem Team is where our students begin their journey with us. We are called Bethlehem, because this is where Jesus began His life on earth. Our 5 to 7 year old students are found in Bethlehem (Year 0-2).
Our students enjoy a Play-based Learning Curriculum, which supports them to learn how to read, write and solve mathematical problems. We also learn how to make and keep friends, to collaborate, create and explore new ideas. We enjoy music, cooking, visual arts, P.E and sports and lots of outdoor activity. Each day we learn about how much Jesus loves us, through our RE lessons and our prayer and meditation time.
Our teachers are Mrs Rowe (Team Leader), Mrs Govender, Mrs Butler and Mrs Moodly. We are very lucky to also have Miss Garden and Mrs Muir in our team to support all of us.
